Mario

So here's something pretty different from what i usually do. Wanted to try out something watercolour-ish like the Metal Gear Solid artwork, but for another video game character.

There's an existing image of Mario holding the tip of his hat, but from a top-down view. I didn't like the idea of using an existing image so i drew my own one of the same pose but different angle...was pretty challenging figuring out his strange proportions

Then I scanned the image, painted over it and fiddled with blending options in CS3. Wasn't bothered in making it tidy since that was kinda the look i was going for!
